A building from the 1960s that can no longer be refurbished and also does not meet the high hygienic requirements for biomedical research is to be replaced by a new building. The planned new building consists of two parts: an almost square three-story building with the various usage areas, as well as a two-storey part, which is the publicly available functions, such as the main entrance area.

A surrounding facade cladding made of perforated aluminum sheets gives the building a light appearance. Different perforations show the different uses behind the sheets.
