The research building planned in Oberschleissheim near Munich contains numerous chairs of the veterinary faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich: Physiology, Physiological Chemistry, Pharmacology and Animal Welfare. Office space, laboratories (S2) and associated ancillary rooms as well as cross-chair CORE areas such as seminar areas and workshops are to be built for them.
The building with an asymmetrical inner courtyard and clearly separated research and student areas fits into the existing campus master plan as a true-to-scale construction volume. On the outside it presents itself with a three-dimensional modeled clinker facade.
