The new building is located on the campus of the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry and Neurobiology in Martinsried (near Munich). Thanks to its monolithic exposed concrete facade, the new building integrates easily into this area of the institute, characterised by its prefabricated concrete buildings from the 1970s.
The three-storey building contains special facilities such as cleanrooms for biochemical research conducted for three separate institutes.
